Picture
During the Covid-19 lockdowns I painted a selection of animals for my front window - starting with native British animal species - to show just how beautiful our wildlife is. The pictures were aimed at entertaining bored lockdown children on their daily walks. I gradually filled up our front window (and did so about 4 times) and enjoyed the excited voices of young children in the street as they spotted something new. I think it was fun for both them and me. In 2021 I widened my animal subjects to include some wonderful creatures from round the world and have added even more since...

All images can be bought as cards and prints. There are no mugs remaining but these can be produced on demand.
Original paintings are also for sale.

I experimented with one large painting filling the entire window but the passing children didn't find this as entertaining... These are Humpback Whales which migrate past the West Coast of Ireland. I have never seen them in UK waters but I am lucky enough have seen them on a scuba trip in the Pacific. They are awe-inspiring and wonderful and you can hear their calls underwater. An unforgettable experience.
